Eligibility & Acceptance Criteria

The following statements below must describe your circumstances correctly.

     The learner driver to be insured must:

  • Be aged between 17 - 40 and only hold a valid UK Provisional driving licence
  • Has been continuously resident in the United Kingdom for the past 12 months
  • Has had no claims in the last 3 years
  • Has no penalty points within the last 5 years and have no prosecution or police enquiry pending
  • Has not been disqualified from driving or had your licence revoked in the last 5 years
  • Not be a Professional Sports-person or Musician
  • Not reside in Northern Ireland

    A person supervising the learner driver:
     
  • Must be aged 25 - 72 and hold a full and valid UK, EC or EEA driving licence for at least 3 years
  • Must be continuously resident in the United Kingdom for the past 3 years
  • Has had no more than 1 claim in the last 3 years
  • Has no more than 6 penalty points within the last 5 years and has no prosecution or police enquiry pending
  • Has not have been disqualified from driving or had their licence revoked in the last 5 years
  • Is not be a Professional Sports-person or Musician
  • Does not reside in Northern Ireland

    The vehicle must:
  • Not be left-hand drive and have no more than 7 seats in total including the driver
  • Only be used for social domestic & pleasure purposes
  • Must be insured on a separate annual policy by the registered owner/keeper and remain in force for the duration of the insurelearnerdriver insurance. NB: Our policy operates separately to any existing motor policy
  • Not exceed a current market value of £20000

    Vehicle Modifications

  • Vehicles modified to cater for a disabled driver or a disabled passenger are acceptable
  • Vehicles fitted with manufacturer specified optional extras, fitted at the time of manufacture are acceptable
  • All other post manufacture modifications (cosmetic or performance related) are not acceptable

Exporting a vehicle or travelling outside of the UK

This product is not available if you intend to travel or export a vehicle outside of the UK

Impounded Vehicles

Insurelearnerdriver insurance certificates cannot be used to recover an impounded or confiscated vehicle and are endorsed to this effect.

You must not proceed with the purchase of short-term insurance cover through this Website if you cannot agree to any of the above statements.
