Private practice doesn’t have to be boring you know… As long as you have valid insurance and a driver that matches the acceptance criteria, you’re good to go to loads of places! (apart from motorways). Here’s some of our favourite destinations to go to in the Summer, which will not only give you more driving experience but also a fun day out!

The beach

You do not have to jet away on a plane to find yourself a beach! We have some stunning beaches right on our doorstep. Grab your inflatable dingy and sunscreen and get driving to your closest beach!

National parks

When it comes to natural wonders, there are all sorts of hidden gems around the country. Get to your nearest national park and see if you can get some pretty pictures for the gram!

Drive through zoos

Are you an animal lover? Going to a drive through zoo would definitely test your driving skills! However, we do advise checking with the park beforehand to see if they allow provisional drivers to take part.

Camping

The nights are getting longer which means it’s the perfect time to go camping with your friends or family! Load up the car with your camping essentials, whether it’s fishing gear or a load of board games and go be one with nature!

Amusement parks

Adrenaline junkies unite! Drive (at a sensible speed) to your nearest amusement park for a day of high-speed fun!

Anywhere that sells ice-cream

If this Summer is to be anything like our last one, we’ll need to take every precaution to stay cool! Why not grab some mates and visit the best places around you to test out their ice-creams? Beware of the brain freeze though!

The fun doesn’t have to wait until after you pass your driving test. With an InsureLearnerDriver policy, all you’d need is a supervising driver between the ages of 25-72 who has held their licence for at least 3 years to be next to you. Click here to get a quick quote We advise all learner drivers to experience as many different locations as possible before the driving test! Not only is it more fun, but the more you deal with on the roads as a learner, the more prepared you’ll be for when you’re driving solo with a full licence.
