Acceptance Criteria Overview

To keep the number of questions we ask to a minimum, we make some assumptions about the learner driver and the car. Please ensure you read the statements below as these will form part of your insurance contract. Incorrect information could invalidate all or part of the policy.

InsureLearnerDriver Acceptance Criteria

We assume:

Short-term ‘Car Not Owned By Learner 1-6 Days’ policy periods :-

You are aged between 17 and 30, a UK resident for 12 months or more; and have a valid UK provisional licence

Short-term ‘Car Not Owned By Learner 7-140 Days’ policy periods :-

You are aged between 17 and 40, a UK resident for 12 months or more; and have a valid UK provisional licence

Short-term & Annual ‘Owner Learner Driver’ policy :-

You are aged between 17 and 25, a UK resident for 12 months or more; and have a valid UK provisional licence

Learners Insurance Acceptance Criteria

You have had no accidents, claims or losses in the past 3 years

Learners Insurance Acceptance Criteria

You have had no penalty points on you driving licence and have not been disqualified from driving or had your licence revoked within the past 5 years

Learners Insurance Acceptance Criteria

You do not reside in Northern Ireland

Learners Insurance Acceptance Criteria

You are not Unemployed or Employed in the Entertainment Industry, a Professional Sports-Person or a Musician

Learners Insurance Acceptance Criteria

You have never had a motor insurance policy cancelled, made void or refused; or had a claim repudiated or declined

You have never been convicted of any criminal offence or have a possible prosecution or police enquiry pending

The Car:

Short-term ‘Car Not Owned By Learner 1-6 Days’ policy periods – Is valued at less than £25,000, is right-hand drive with no more than 7 seats and has a current valid MOT certificate; and will be used for tuition purposes only

Short-term ‘Car Not Owned By Learner’ policy – Is valued at less than £25,000, is right-hand drive with no more than 7 seats; and will be used for tuition purposes only

Short-term & Annual ‘Owner Learner Driver’ policy – Is valued at less than £20,000, is right-hand drive with no more than 7 seats; and will be used for tuition purposes only

Short-term ‘Car Not Owned By Learner 1-6 Days’ policy – the car can not be owned or registered by you and must be insured under a separate insurance policy that will remain in force for the duration of the insurance contract

Short-term ‘Car Not Owned By Learner’ policy – the car can not be owned or registered by you and must be insured under a separate insurance policy that will remain in force for the duration of the insurance contract

Short-term & Annual ‘Owner Learner Driver’ policy – the car must be owned and registered in the Learner Driver’s name.

Is not modified or altered in any way (including wheels, suspension, bodywork or engine) ~ cars modified to cater for a disabled driver or a disabled passenger are acceptable

Has not been seized or impounded and I am not buying insurance cover to obtain its release

The Supervisor:

Is aged 25 and under 72

Holds a full and valid UK, EEA or EU driving licence for at least 3 years

If you do not match the Acceptance Criteria, you can not be covered under the InsureLearnerDriver policy and should not proceed with this purchase.
